This painting depicts Hades walking up a staircase that leads to the exit of the underworld. As a child, I loved reading about Greek mythology. I thought of the stories much like fairy tales. I always found Hades to be an interesting character. He was not necessarily bad or good . He was just left with the unfortunate chore of having to rule over the underworld thanks to his two brother.
